Global Bank Account Opening FAQs
Common questions about setting up and maintaining your international business
Licensed fintech and e-money providers can often open multi-currency accounts within a few days to two weeks. Traditional banks typically take 4–12 weeks for companies whose owners live abroad, depending on the bank and the complexity of the structure.
Many applications can be completed remotely, often with a video call to verify identity. Some traditional banks still ask directors or major shareholders to attend a meeting in person, and we tell you upfront where this applies.
We support bank and fintech account opening for companies in all five of our jurisdictions (Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, the BVI and the Cayman Islands), as well as international accounts for companies registered elsewhere.

Corporate documents, an ownership chart down to the beneficial owners, passports and proof of address, a description of the business with contracts or invoices, expected transaction volumes, and evidence of source of funds and source of wealth.
